I’ve given up on listening to the game with the sound on. Gubi and Patty, when they’re not getting off on exit velo and a runners speed to first base, have gone so far overboard on pimping Ohtani for mvp. They’re completely unlistenable. 
 

I love that we’re watching such an amazing player doing amazing things. But I’m not an mvp voter who needs nonstop convincing on who to vote for. Whatever professionalism these two may have had is now completely gone because they sound like corporate shills/pimps. 
 

And after almost an entire season, Patty still can’t call a home run. This is something all of us learned to do before we turned ten.
