So I’m listening to yesterday’s game and it occurs to me that jc was pitching to get released. He brought over decent numbers and then he gets here and he sucks balls again. Could it have been his intention to go back to Atlanta?

That’s asinine

2.11 to 7.59 era with the Angels.  1.23 to 1.78 whip with the Angels.  Yeah, that's "asinine".  We'll see within a week, going to back to Atlanta or another contender.

Too think that a pitcher, ESPECIALLY a pitcher with local ties to Southern California and who has pitched for this organization before, would be tanking just so he could get released, is asinine.

Chavez doesn’t have the “stuff” to even assume this thought, and your stats just prove the point.

Maybe, just maybe…..he just doesn’t have it anymore?  That’s a safer assumption.

Yeah... I'm at a loss, I haven't been able to watch him play this season, but his numbers since he switched jerseys just don't jibe.  Maybe I'm wrong but I would place a small wager that the guy is picked up and he somehow returns to 'form'.  It's not like our pitching staff has been our weak point this season.
