I finished season 1 of Peaky Blinders last night.

Holy crap.

Yeah, just saw S1:E5 last night, thought that was the best episode yet, which is saying a lot because every single one has been great. Looking forward to watch the season 1 finale tonight.

 

Re; the music as others have pointed out, it doesn't really bother me knowing that its not from that period. I kind of like the heaviness of the guitars sometimes, if it fits with the scene.

we watched Fresh Off the Boat. it's a new comedy series on abc about a chinese family that just moved to orlando so the dad could open his own restaurant (a steak house). the wife is overbearing. there are three kids and the story is told from the POV of the oldest, an 11 yr old who's into the notorious b.i.g. and tupac and the orlando magic. the two younger sons are funny at times.

 

show looked like it had some potential, but man, what a POS. i'm not very happy with my viewing choices right now. this thing deserves a quick death. avoid at all costs.

I actually thought the four episodes so far were pretty funny. Better than a lot of other TV network comedies, in my opinion.
