The Angels Rank 25th for Best MLB Pregame Experiences

Going to baseball games is a rite of summer. It’s a place to be. Along with what’s happening on the field, the sounds, the smells, the energy is a strong part of the experience. So, too, is the experience of the pregame. When it comes to games at Major League Baseball parks, much of the fun is done before the ticket is scanned.

Bookies.com has compiled a comprehensive list of the top MLB pregame destinations. The list is born from an algorithm based on multiple factors. Among them:

Miles From City Center: Close to the action, accessible to fans
Tailgating: The ability to park and enjoy a summer day with a beverage and grill.
Entertainment Around Stadium: A vibrant bar and restaurant scene within walking distance to your seat.
Fan Sentiment: Is the area safe and entertaining for kids and those with kids?

Here are all 30 MLB pregame destinations, ranked.

Seems strange given that so many of the new stadiums don't have large parking lots like the Angels have.

Don’t forget billionaires have a plan to get all the money they can and if it means eating at a bar or restaurant instead of tailgating, just go with it.

Not too fond about the "there are no bars and it’s not overly close to many Angels fans" quote.

A: I'm not going to a bar before the game.... I'm going to a brewery... Which there are PLENTY of around the stadium.
B: There are plenty of fans near the stadium.... Only problem is it takes 45min to get there from 8 miles away.

Who in the hell even shows up early enough to a game to make this assessment... this is SoCal people!

... and seriously: LOL at grilling in a parking lot - this isn't Walmart...

I remember hanging out with @cals and some other AW members way back when before a game, also @Brian Ilten grilled quite a bit back in the day before Angels games.

They do a lot of grilling prior to games in the parking lot everywhere but the west coast.
