I just hate when elders act like you haven't eaten enough and keep urging you to eat more.

I finally made it through all courses. I don't belch, but never refuse the vino offerings and even got a nice chianti tonight.

Went to a friend's for dinner:  lil' cheeseburgers, chicken breasteses, salad and stuffed potato.  Diet went down the toilet.  Tonight's dinner will follow tomorrow morning.

I don't feel like going shopping today so dinner will be a ham sandwich on rye with horseradish mustard, a few bites out of my last jar of kimchee, mango slices, and maybe a few plain Ruffles dipped is salsa.

Small chance I'm going with a friend to the new hipster donut place I referred to in a previous thread.  I'm actually pumped about it because, well, a donut sounds pretty awesome no matter its pedigree. 

 

I'm also thinking about a Costco hot dog today.  While they're not as good as they used to be since they started using Kirkland hot dogs, they're still pretty damn good.

 

In short, I'm going to eat like a 1970s tv detective today.

Thought I bought a bag of baby spinach at Trader Joe's, but when I got home I had bought two, so spinach salads for a few nights too.

No need to decide "What's for dinner" for a while.

Whole wheat spaghetti with diced tomatoes.

 

Pinto and black bean combo.

 

Chopped up a Honey Crisp apple. These are new to me this year and I really enjoy them. Expensive, but good.

I made turkey tacos for the family last night.  I cooked the flour tortillas in extra virgin olive oil.  Cut up some fresh tomatoes and lettuce.  Added some freshly graded cheese.  Very tasty.

Black barbecue pork chops with thumbelina carrots. Braised bacon carolina rice. Beet and pear napoleons with ginger juice vinaigrette. Chess pie with blackened pineapple salsa and caramel sauce. And an ice cold brewskie to wash it all down.
