Ohtani-san will enter the season of his 10th year as a professional baseball player (2013-2017 in NPB and 2018- in MLB).
At NPB, the team he belonged to won the Japan Series in 2016. 

Loose translation of his comment from  Japanese Sports Newspaper (April, 6, 2022): 

"Every year, I want to get good results and to play in postseason games.  However, the longer I am enrolled in MLB, the higher the expectations of me and the people around and the more I have to do to meet them.  In that sense, I think my desire to win is stronger."
