Re-read the first post. Maddon says he hopes it's just 10 days.

Maybe they prefer to hide Rojas in RF since there's less action than the hot corner. I kind of wish they recalled Rengifo and shift Fletch to 3rd for the next 10 days.

Yeah.  It's unfortunate, but if you look all around the league, there have been a boatload of injuries to some really notable players (Tatis, Bellinger, etc).  I think teams are being very cautious, knowing it'll be a tough ramp-up from 60 games to 162 games.  No need to risk a long-term injury or issue to Rendon (or Ohtani, in the instance of his blister) right now.  

This part of the schedule, for the next 10 days, should be overall favorable to us (Rangers/Royals, although the Twins should be tough).  Hopefully he can come back and play against the Astros.

I believe they are limited to calling guys up from the Taxi Squad when they're on a road trip due to the new protocols.  Ward, Rengifo, etc were not on it.  People have asked why, but I suspect it is because players at the alternate site can probably work on their game more and simulate games, so it's probably a better training area than simply accompanying the team on the trip.

Mayfield and Rowen were both on the squad, as was Barria, hence why we have seen all 3 utilized on this trip in the span of like, 4 days haha.
