Scioscia has gone certifiably insane

and he's removing Jerome Williams from the rotation. :-(

What a shame. It's kind of disrespectful, but at the same time, Jerome will be there when the starter is getting shelled in the third or fourth inning. Jerome really is the only long reliever that would potentially be available. It has pretty much been his role since he's been with the team. Not a big surprise that the Fat Man chose to go with the less-capable big money guys to appease their egos.

It is amazing how butthurt so many people here get when a bunt is executed properly by the Angels and completely ignored as to a sensible reason why a coach would choose that over watching the leadoff hitter never making it into scoring position when you have the 7, 8 and 9 hitters up.

Because we have a better chance of going 1 for 2 than 2 for 3 with single type hitters coming up.

You're telling me Callaspo and Iannetta don't have gap power? You're also assuming they would be playing station to station to require two singles to score. Howie can't go first to third and score on a sac fly? Sac bunts are an antiquated strategy that should be use to a minimum only in certain situations. Scioscia seems to use it as often as possible.

They aren't scoring runs, so Sosh tries to get things going.  The board bitches when he plays little ball, then the board bitches when he stops playing little ball.  The board bitches when he changes the lineup all the time, then the board bitches when he keeps the same lineup.

Common denominator = the board bitches.

this was one of those situations where it was the right call. Late in the game, chasing one, bottom of the order, no outs, offense struggling over last few games.

I love that sabermatricians act like the sacrifice bunt should be outlawed from baseball.

Or you know, they act like it's a play that only makes sense in very specific scenarios; but managers abuse the hell out of in scenarios where it makes absolutely no sense(like every time they do it in the early innings that doesn't involve a pitcher or Jeff Mathis level hitter).

Because managers really do abuse the hell out of it in scenarios where it makes no sense to use it.
