On the one hand they’re not very well known symbols.  I certainly am not familiar with them.  I suspect most Americans wouldn’t be familiar with them either.  On the other, it seems very convenient that that particular symbol was used.  No one identifies antifa with the red triangle.  So I don’t believe that answer.  
 

anyway hopefully they stop using it since this has been pointed out.
