I would think the only reason the Angels would even consider Puig is because worst case scenario, they could trade him when Adell is ready for the show.  If he had a decent first half of season, you could get something pretty good for him at the trade deadline.

Of course, I'm sure every team realizes this and they are still avoiding him like the coronavirus.  It just shows how bad his rep is.

Depends on the cost. At a certain price it's almost why not, you could cut him if he acts up if he plays well you could trade him. If he is 1 year 3 mil I'd say why not but probably wouldn't go much more than that.

I don't think adding Puig is that much of an upgrade given his attitude/personality issues. There's a reason why teams aren't lining up to sign him.

He already turned down a 1 yr, 10m offer, reportedly. If we were gonna beat that, we should’ve kept Calhoun.

Kinda surprised that he hasn't found a job with someone, but maybe his reputation as a headcase has contributed to that.

Only way I would want the Angels to check in on him was if they could some how include Goodwin in a trade for pitching which seems unlikely.  Mostly because Goodwin wouldn't return much as far as pitching goes.
