@RallyMo have the hospitals discussed just telling the purposely unvaccinated to fuck off?

It’s like the Defund the Police Movement.  You think you sound cool spouting the ideological nonsense around your friends, then reality hits, you’re in danger because you were stupid and now you really wish that protection was there.  If we’re gonna tell urban dumbfucks that they’re out of luck and they can deal with the criminals downstairs, shouldn’t we tell the anti-vaxxers that they made their bed and it’s time to sleep in it…. At home.

Nope. That would never happen. First of all, that's messed up, as pissed off at some of these peeps as many of us are. Secondly, it's illegal for any hospital that takes Medicare to turn somebody away from their ER. Ambulances can be diverted to another facility in certain circumstances, but you can't stop somebody from walking in or refuse to see them when they do. If somebody needs medical, we're there to provide it.

Well, by the time they fill out the admission forms and submit their proof of insurance along with who to notify if power of attorney is necessary, somebody in the Covid ward will die and open a bed.

They hold in the ER. We have multiple COVID units. Our COVID census is presently around 170. People will hold in our ER for days if necessary. It's all you can do. There's no transferring to other facilities, there aren't any beds to take care of all these patients. Staffing is a major issue and it's going to be an issue for the field after this is done. So many nurses and MDs are burnt out.

So you mix Covid patients with ER patients?

Not mix, per se. We have ICU rooms that are separate from one another. Positive COVID patients can be cohorted if necessary. We have an ER overflow COVID unit to hold people when they're waiting for inpatient beds.

What are we treating patients with nowadays? There are some pretty good drugs out there that don’t seem to get any press?

Rather than bore you with my plain text, I'll just post a link. This is, for the most part, what present day in-hospital treatment looks like:

https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/management/clinical-management/hospitalized-adults--therapeutic-management/

Here's another link that goes over non-hospitalized care:

https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/about-the-guidelines/whats-new/

They're doing some pretty cool stuff to keep people out of hospitals if they can.

...and bourbon. Lots of bourbon. For me.

It’s good to know we are still trying to develop treatments. To me covid is basically a flu virus mixed with a touch of aids. Unlikely we vaccinate ourselves out of this so we need to continue to develop treatments

News outlet falsely reports thousands of kids hospitalized with COVID in 1 week

"An earlier version of this story overstated the number of children who have been hospitalized in Texas recently with COVID-19. The story said over 5,800 children had been hospitalized during a seven-day period in August, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That number correctly referred to children hospitalized with COVID-19 since the pandemic began. In actuality, 783 children were admitted to Texas hospitals with COVID-19 between July 1 and Aug. 9 of this year."

But before their correction, the false numbers were shared by Washington Post blogger Jennifer Rubin.

"Unconscionable: Over 5,800 children in Texas were newly hospitalized with COVID-19 in the seven-day period ending on Aug. 8, a 37% increase from a week prior. where is the pro-life movement ?? it's now a death cult," she tweeted.

This doesn't help anyone

Says the guy afraid to go outdoors and stays in researching FOX News all day. I would continuously post your right wing nut sites you frequent when they are embellishing, however, I go outside and do stuff during the day.

No they should not lie about children hospitalized but don't act all holy posting from the rags you get your info.
