If Arte was serious about Cole AND Rendon, they could’ve had MadBum and Keuchel for the same AAV as Cole it looks like

They’ll probably sign Keuchel for 3 years and trade for a good starter. That’s better than 5 years for Bumgarner, who could fall off a cliff given some of his indicators.

We’ve seen this a few times now. Last year it was the same thing and then he signs Harvey and Cahill. Eppler has no big plan. He’s simply trigger shy.

Orr maybe Eppler didn't want to part with young talent and lose our 3rd round draft pick next year because he had other FA's that didn't have qualifying offers in mind?

Why is this a good deal for MadBum? I think this is a huge overpay. People were freaking out over 5/100 this is only $3 million a year different. It still kills any flexibility if he doesn't work out.

At this point, I’m expecting to sign Ryu and trade for another pitcher. Word on some Dodger sites is that Ryu wants to stay in SoCal because his wife and him love it. Maybe we can get him 3-4 years; trade for a Ray or Stroman (why is his name even being thrown around here, are they open to trading him?) or go all in for a Syndergaard

I want no part of Ryu, i could be wrong but it tells me a ton that the Dogs didnt want him back.  There is no reason they dont with the numbers he put up unless there are concerns.

But not Ryu, if it’s for $25-30 million/season.
