^I'd hardly call Mariners fans obnoxious as a whole. I saw a Red Sox game in in the first year or two of Safeco--2000 or 2001, I think--and they were super mellow, more interested in their lattes and tofu dogs than screaming at Nomar. Actually, there were probably as many Red Sox fans in the stands than Mariners fans.

Fans tend to represent the temperament of their city. Seattle's a pretty chill place, at least relative to many (especially East Coast) cities.

Most of you would be too young to remember that. I'm thinking '70's back when Carew was a Twin.

It would have been before I was an Angels fan as well, but I seem to remember hearing stories about it.
