They have the 2nd worst record in the Cal league. The lowest team batting at .205/.304/.299/.602 and have scored 117 fewer runs than the top team, the Jethawks, in only 50 games. They only have a collective 19 home runs, the second lowest is 30, the top is 52, the Quakes.

The only bright spot is their pitching is third in the league in ERA. The worst is the Jethawks followed by the Quakes. The old adage pitching and defense wins games obviously never applied to the Cal League.

 

Really, it's a bad hitting team in Low-A and Double-A too. All of the hitting talent went to AAA this season and with Adell out and Marsh off to a slow start until recently, J. Jones not hitting, it's slim pickens out there beside who's been on the Salt Lake Bees this season.

I’m so f****** ready for this guy to man an outfield with the GOAT. I think Adell is gonna get more kids into baseball especially in urban areas. He just has so much swag and personality. He feels more like an NBA Star.

Not before he makes his debut but if he kills it his rookie year then yeah.

You may save $30 million if you do it before he debuts.  If the guy destroys it as a rookie, his price changes considerably.

The White Soz locked up Jimenez before he made his debut, so the Angels wouldn’t be doing something completely groundbreaking.
