He seems like a decent candidate to me.  Other then the history with his grandfather.  Which is probably a deal breaker. That’s unfair, but it is what it is.  Probably would have been better for him to not throw his hat into the ring.  Unfortunate that a different candidate wasn’t chosen.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's father joined the NAZI party(I really hope I'm not invoking godwin's law). You know the people who put a damper on Europe, North Africa, Russia from 1939 to 1945. 

My point is, if the candidate sucks, there should be plenty to point out about them. Not what their grandfather did.

Everyone in Germany and Austria were required to, so it's really a non starter.

From what I understand, his father voluntarily joined the party before Austria was annexed. 

I've also read he sought membership before the annexation but wasn't accepted until 1941.
