Warren pitched for UNC wilmington where they went to the regional finals and lost to South Carolina.  He pitched well over 5 innings giving up 1er and whiffing 4 vs. ohio state (4.2ip) and South Carolina (0.1ip).

Angels seem to have moved away from all the Florida/Georgia-heavy players of the Kotchman and Bane days, and are drawing a lot from the UNC players/commits and such.

A few guys from Florida that come to mind include Howie Kendrick, Jeff Mathis, Mike Napoli

Good point, it's Georgia where they seemed to fizzle out more.

I know drafts have little bearing on the shape of the big-league club, but drafting these senior relievers with big K/9s makes me think Eppler will continue to build a pen either from within or through frugal, low-cost acquisitions.

There's just not much of anything to suggest he's going to spend big on Kimbrel in FA or trade anyone of significant value for Kelvin Herrera.
