So does a late season Orem promotion basically mean the Angels want to see those guys in full season A ball next year? Would be nice to see a full year of Jackson, Adams, Knowles, Soto and even Maitan. Hopefully Deveaux will catch up.

Assuming they don't tank it too badly, yeah. They'll reassess next Spring too.

Last I heard he was out since the beginning of the season with a "stress reaction" in his back.  I'm assuming they are rehabbing him slowly so it doesn't linger and mess with his mechanics.

Back injuries are very bad for pitchers. Not as bad as the shoulder but pretty close. Best to get that fully healed

For pitchers, will it ever fully heal?     It did for Vlad in 2003, but of course he was already 27.

The knob is the "eye" of the bat. If the eye isn't going to the ball, it usually ends up being just a right turn...
