Is it just me or do those rockets look like fat dolphins jumping out of the water?

I guess commercial spaceflight is inevitable for the rich.  But they are doing right by the first one.

Stuck the landing.  Still pretty impressive.  One thing about Space X.  They aren't afraid to fail, as long as they learn from it.  If I remember right, they had problems landing on their first few rocket launches, then perfected it.

Although Starship SN9 suffered the same explosive fate as SN8 two months ago, SpaceX views the test flight as a step forward in the rocket’s development. SN10, likely the next to attempt a launch-and-landing, was already in place when SN9 took to the skies.

the launch and test flight were a success; the landing, not so much.

this is a very heavy rocket and this is the testing phase. there will be failures, but there tend to be far more successes in this stage of testing.

Compared to SpaceX, even when their landing blows up, it's just comical how the rest of the space program is.

@Lhalo Rachel was on the ball, when everyone was just going through the motions.  The boom was interesting too, at how delayed it was to get to them.  Especially the second one just seemed to rock their studio.

They push the envelope. These are all test flights with brand new technology so they are expecting many big booms.
