Las Vegas Shooting

They were there in about 10-15 minutes after the first shots. They didnt make entry for an hour.

For anyone questioning why, it makes sense. No longer active (if he was you, rush in), and you want to clear all the rooms around it, prepping for a firefight.

I mentioned earlier, vegas PD did a bang up job. May not seem like it, but it was absolute chaos. Just learned in the press conference they had to get to the room via the stairs. 32 floors with the gear on isnt easy.

Also, in terms of why they waited, bad guy shot a security guard through the door (which stopped him from shooting rhe crowd...dude is the hero of all of this). The chief said he fired roughly 200 rounds through the door and wall...

just wanted you to know how much i like reading your posts. i appreciate your insights and what you shed light on about things like this. thank you.

Obviously not super important, but they havent said as of yet exactly what was in the room. We know he had a bunch of ARs, but at least from the pics we see, none show a really high cap mag. One has a 40 round mag (up from 30), but those first few bursts sounded more like drums (75-125 rounds).

Something else about the tanerite they found. Tanerite is an explosive kind of paint, almost. You can buy it, put it into something, then target shoot and blow up crap in the desert. You cant detonate unless you shoot it (i believe). Im wondering if he actually either had the time, or at least a plan, to place some of it somewhere he could shoot and blow stuff up.

Few of our local hospitals are going to start getting victims shortly. Vegas hospitals are overwhelmed.

Have to figure aside from the victims of this, they still have a major city to take care of.

Dont quote me, but i think i heard it would be 50 or so. If theyre coming here, i imagine theyre locals. So many socal people at that venue, no wonder everyone has a connection.

I'm not sure what's worse.

That this waste of a human carcass was allowed to purchase so many weapons or that rally said "y'all "

Hah!

Over the last 10 years, it's made its way into my vocabulary as well.

It's infectious.

It really is.

Go get a shot

I was one of a group of Californians that was involved in a clinical trial for the "y'all" vaccine. It was a failure.

We all use "y'all" on a daily basis, even when passing through any one of the numerous In-N-Out locations within a fifteen minute drive of work or home. Sorry, @Geoff and @nate. Y'all really need to pressure @Stradling on this. I'll bet he could make it happen. I started messaging him about this years ago and now Texas is filthy with conveniently located stores.

This dude had grandiose plans he was never going to accomplish. Do we know where his car was in relation to the hotel room? Maybe he thought he'd blow the tanerite up in his car?

Whatever it was it raised the bar for a Chicago weekend shooting spree.

Las Vegas mass killer Stephen Paddock booked two hotel rooms overlooking the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago this summer, according to a report Thursday.

Paddock specifically requested both rooms to have a sweeping view of Grant Park — about 500 yards away — but never showed up, sources told TMZ.

Among the 400,000 people who packed the venue in the Windy City was Malia Obama, 19, the former president’s older daughter.
