2 solo shots and 0 walks is ok with me. How often do we see someone get through 5 innings on 48 pitches?

Was just thinking this as well.  He's pitched on the road in BOS and NYY, no easy feat, in back to back starts.  Think back to how some established Angels starters have shit the bed in both places and I'm good with this.

Yeah, he's pitching well. The pitch count is great but it won't really come to fruition if the bats don't give him some more runs to work with. Sosh will go to the pen if this game turns into a tie

So Pujols has been steadily declining ever since donning an Angels uni but is this finally the year where its apparent he's completely cooked as even a reliable player/starter?

He is a reliable RBI machine. He leads the American League since the beginning of 2016.

It doesn't really matter.  He's going to be getting 25 million a year unless he retires.  Scioscia has to play him.

He was still good enough as a starter in 2016. This year though he's a DH sporting a .668 OPS and is slugging under .400. This is the first real season where he looks to have completely bottomed out and is now basically another Steve Finley/Vernon Wells for this team
