Actually, playing good baseball hasn't seemed to matter to the 2002 bandwaggoners still going to the games the past few years. I can still remember going to a couple of late August 2002 home games against Tampa Bay with less than 20,000 paid admission (definitely not that many in attendance) and the club was about 25 games over .500. As long as Arte can still sell 3,000,000 tickets per season putting an overpaid and underachieving team on the field, why change?
