It's getting old troll.  Yes I would have signed Heyward, you thought Nava was a good signing and you liked our team going into the season.  You come on here and mouth-shit all over the team, the owner the manager and it's a tired act.  Figure out how to be less of a dick or give yourself another timeout.

I do wonder if Scioscia would bench a player like Heyward in a similar situation.

Scioscia has shown that he will adapt in the playoffs, though...  like when he brought in Washburn out of the bullpen to face David Ortiz.   In all fairness, he does adjust.  Not sure if it's enough... see the sac bunt...... I mean sac bunts.  He did use Frankie Rodriguez very well in 2002.

Regardless of how he performed this year or how we will do in years ahead, Eppler would really have his hands tied this offseason. Interesting to see if he stays super cheap one more offseason to give himself ample payroll flexibility or if he'll spend this year.
