They've pretty much just punted on this half of the season after the first episode...apparently they won't get around to the war with Negan until spring of 2017. Last Sunday's episode, which we didn't even bother to watch until Thursday, wasn't too bad. Didn't need to be 90 minutes, but as much of a dick as Negan is, he's at least a little funny at times. Truest line ever spoken when he called Carl a future serial killer.

Looks like they've run out of steam though, trying to stretch out a single storyline over a whole season and having to trot out filler crap like the Tara shit. A whole episode required to show a 2 second clip identifying where they are going to get their guns from? Oh look, Carol lives in a house.

I'm guessing...who the hell cares what his name is son of that old lady we've already forgotten gets the bat next week...that'll be nice.

hmmm, reminds me of season 2 when the entire season was devoted to finding a kid. you're watching and then the season ends and you realize you just watched an entire season of a show where literally nothing happened except what was expected.....although, i think the shane death was kind of gnar.

from reading all of the comments on the last page it sounds like i'm glad i bailed on this show in season 4 or whatever was going on with some random community and some dude named the governor. same shit all the time.

Last night's episode wasn't too bad, certainly better than the filler we've seen most of this season. (I mean seriously...a whole episode devoted to the how the hell did she get so plump in the apocalypse lesbian?). Cheesy reunion at the end, you'd think Maggie would kick Darryl in the balls after he got Glenn killed, but it's what you would expect. Second half of the season should move a little quicker now.

Except that it's in Feb.  this season probably wounldn't have been that bad if you went from the deaths, to the hilltop/kingdom (combine episode), to last nights episode, and continued it to the war.  Instead they had to stretch it out, and put crap filler in.  I think they are going to continue to lose viewers, even if the second half of the season is good.  They are just f'ing with the viewers.

Oh, I agree...they are definitely dragging things..hopefully the ratings drop kicks them in the ass for the upcoming seasons but I'm not very hopeful.

Last week was good, episode moved along well. Last night was odd, apparently a bunch of German nihilistic art students founded a colony outside of DC. I am hoping they don't drag the Saviors thing out until next season.

Say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos

Pretty transparent they've been setting Dwight up to turn on Negan. This was a filler episode, like a lot of them this season, it appears they are going to drag Negan out until next season.

Two episodes left...and next week's episode being return to Chick Island (poor Tara) according to the preview...so that means the following week will be all sides agreeing to take on the Survivors. Geez, another entire season next year of the Survivors and Negan...lovely.
