RIP Arnie.  Guy was the everypersons champion.  His army will miss him dearly.

This hurts.  What Tiger was in his generation to golf, Palmer was to his.  He was that big.  A gentlemen, a sportsman, and just a nice guy.

Can we just skip the rest of this crappy year and move on to 2017.

My Dad took me out to Firestone CC when I was in 3rd grade, to follow Arnie along with his army. He truly changed the sport...from a wealthy man's pastime to a sport that anyone can play, watch, and enjoy.

Palmer was a kind, gentle human being. I had a chance to meet him in 2004 at a golf course he manages at PGA West in La Quinta during the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. I saw him in the pro shop and grabbed a $25 visor off of the shelf and had him sign it. He was next to the register while I tried to pay for it. With a big smile Arnie told me that the visor was now $125 since he signed it. I was ready to pay the $125 when he chuckled and told me he was just kidding. I still have that visor and will cherish that memory forever.  

RIP Arnie. You will never be forgotten.

That was really great.  What a great testimony.

Annika Sorenstam was emotional as she described the day she was rushed to the hospital and delivered her baby boy at 27 weeks.

The doctors there were instrumental in saving his life. This was the hospital that Arnold Palmer founded.

Palmer was a great humanitarian. He was always looking out for others. That was the common thread in today's many tributes.

DVR'd it this morning and look forward to watching it. I imagine having a drink with Arnie and hearing him tell stories would have been a ridiculous pleasure. But best of all are all the stories out there of what a generous man he was.
