Speaking of stupid Republicans (actually, this shows some intelligence), Sharron Angle was ousted from the Nevada US Senate race in the Republican primary in the race to replace Harry Reid. Some of you may remember Ms. Angle as the one who ran for Senate before. The Tea Party darling said that it is acceptable to shoot people who disagree with you politically, and that we ought to phase out Medicare and Social Security. Incredibly, Angle got almost 25 percent of the vote, even being such an incredible nutbag.

North of here is...well...special. Case in point: I made a work-related trip to Ely, county seat of White Pine County. This booming metropolis of a little over 4,000 people, which lives and dies with the mining industry (with the Department of Corrections keeping it going during down times), has some friendly people - as long as you're white and local. The associate warden who I was traveling with and I stopped at a convenience store to buy a bottle of water. I agree with you Red, this captures my sentiment exactly. But no need to blame Republicans on this. This was purely an idiotic and improper move on the part of the Clintons. It is the kind of thing they have done time and again, and the reason they aren't trusted.
