This lineup actually looks pretty good to me.

Looking better... Would still like to see Bandy get more starts than Perez though behind the dish.

I'm still not sold on Marte, granted he's just 24.    The BB's/K's ratio isn't the greatest for a MLB hitter.

Too small a sample size to tell yet. Hopefully, he gets numerous starts in LF, so we can find out if he's legit or not. Looks like Scioscia is finally willing to deviate from the LF platoon though, since Santana is pitching for MN tonight.

The positive thing is they are getting a good look at what they have in terms of depth and players for the 25 man roster next season.

There are a ton of positives things so far this season. Problem is that most of them are MRI results.

The batting order looks like it might actually function 1 through 9, but Ervin might be a tough nut to crack.

Even taking into account the eventual suspension, I wish Jerry hadn't bounced Ervin off to KC for the unforgettable bush and independent leaguer Brandon Sisk. Ervin has never broken anything or needed to have his elbow cut open.

Ervin is 1-6 with a high ERA and WHIP, so that means:

7 IP, 4 hits, 2 ER, 2 BB, 9 SO.

The only thing that hasn't changed since Opening Day is that Trout is always followed by Pujols. Can Sosh just try to separate them for a couple of series and see if that helps. If every other player has to be shifted or moved up and down away from Trout why can't Albert? It certainly looks like there's some type of favoritism or unwritten rule that only applies to Albert. You can pretty much pencil in a DH anywhere.

Pujols batting after Trout worked pretty well just now.
