Rich guy complains he's not rich enough

Recommended Posts

No, we are trying to keep our donations at 4% and are already close to the max this year.

I think I'm over.  I wonder if I can go back to some of the charities and ask for a refund?

I tell them Bernie sent me.

I could give a shit how much he gives to charity.  Trump is a douchebag that has made it clear he's in it (life) for himself and for making money.  I wouldn't be surprised if he donated zero to charity.  But he doesn't base his campaign on railing against the rich and wanting to help the poor and middle class.  If that's what your campaign is about, and you're in the Top 5% of Earners, it would be good to see you putting your money where your mouth is.  But, Bernie is a rich dude and doesn't put his money where his mouth is.  Fine by me.  He's just another say one thing and do another politician.  Is anyone really surprised by this?

I feel like this needs posted a second time.

Take this one in you guys.

Bullshit. The man is all about walking his talk. Again, he contributes in ways other than money donations - he has dedicated his entire life to fighting for people with less than he has.

Don't place your values on him, if that is the only way you think someone can contribute. It isn't. There are teachers, nurses, counselors, police officers and tons of other folks who don't donate a dime but contribute to society in ways that can't be quantified monetarily.

His talk is raising taxes to help the poor, something he is unwilling to reach into his very own pocket to do. That's hypocrisy of the worst kind.

You've twisted around so much defending this guy that you look like Greg Louganis.

Maybe $8 a week is how much ol' Bernie has been donating.

Nah you can write it off as a gift, and the best part is, you get it all back...PLUS interest! I just agree to pay it all back at an interest rate of 0.00002% over the course of 19 years.

It's a win/win situation, really.

So what you really want us to know is that you love his theories but don't care one bit about his practice. I'm guessing "do as I say, not as I do" really resonates with you.
