Yep, pretty much this, the only difference is who they pander to. 
I miss the days when politics were actually about issues, thats one thing that has become very different in recent years, the open avocation of identity politics over anything else.  You dont hear talk about the economy or anything else at this point, its just racism, sexism, and any other bullshit buzzword they can use to illicit emotion compbined with dismissal of opposing views as sub human.   
Our own government is literally tearing our nation apart by these tactics.  Its not new, its just never been this obvious before.

Lol.  So you agree the situations are different, but it proves both parties are the same.  Nice logic.  The tactics being deployed by the Democrats to reach their goal are disgusting and a new low, no matter which party it was doing it.  This time it happens to be the Democrats.  I’m no Republican super fan.  Plenty of times I’ve been disgusted by Repub tactics.  And I wasn’t on this board whining about Obama his whole term.
