The Tampa run defense was just too much.

Fortunately, their pass defense wasn’t.

Goff had a couple of bad INTs, but otherwise did the job in completing over 75% of his passes.

Defense shined, outside of two PI calls in the first half, and in spite of AD having no tackles.   The others used him being double teamed to get the job done.

In some ways it was an ugly win, but still coming against a solid team on the road with the nation watching.

Such an inconsistent team. They'll make the playoffs but they're getting destroyed in the 1st round.

Goff is at the helm of this inconsistent BS. Looks like a star one week, then a pussy ass rookie bitch the next.

This team needs a leader and Goff ain't it.

Maybe not.

Its hypothetical, but if the playoffs started right now the Rams would play the below .500 Giants in the first round.

Goff was putrid in the first half and only for a couple of possessions looked like an NFL quarterback as long as he was protected in the pocket. Like I said a while ago, he is Roman Gabriel. He is absolute shit on a roll out and doesn't have much awareness of when he is getting blindsided nor takes a look to see if it's coming. The Rams need to look at a replacement, he is not developing any better skills.

Les Snead gave Goff $110+ million guaranteed money off of only two good seasons.   Enough said.

Snead better find another Whitworth and Sullivan in the off-season.  Noteboom isn’t an answer.

Otherwise, there will be more of the same from these past two seasons.

Moral of the story: never, eeeever trade a bunch of picks to draft a QB #1, who is not setting the college football world on fire.

Look no further than Mahomes for proof of that.   #10 pick in 2017, who is simply the best QB in football over the past two years.  30/2 TD/INT this season so far, 56/7 over the past two seasons so far

Hell Russell Wilson was drafted in the 3rd round.

Mahomes is the exception and not the rule.  Look at teams like Chicago, Jacksonville, Miami, Washington and so on that have had issues filling their QB position for years and they've all drafted QB's in the early rounds they didn't trade up for.  At one point or another some of those teams had a guy who looked like he could be the answer but whether it was injuries, a bad system or a guy not panning out it didn't work out.  QB's like Manning and Luck who are considered no brainer #1 picks come around about once a decade it seems.  Meanwhile Brady, Rodgers, Wilson, Mahomes, Watson, Jackson, Ben and Dak all would have gone higher if teams realistically thought they would turn out anything like they did.

Naw, after the 49er game where they sat him on his ass a dozen times, Everett always heard footsteps in a well protected pocket. The guy never was worth anything after that game.

Goff will stand in the pocket but once flushed out he is not good at scrambling or passing on the move. His downfield passes are not crisp or timed well. I feel like without Cooper Kupp, Goff would have the worst quarterback rating in the league.
