My picks for the 10 most promising products unveiled at CES 2016

 

Some interesting things unveiled.  The WiFi standard is probably the one that will hit the shelves quickest and one I'm looking forward to.

love that the LG OLED tv is going to run webOS.

one of the best small factor OSs of all time. HP pulled a typical HP and f*cked that up.

I have a friend that has all of those Samsung connected appliances.  It is mostly pointless although his wife does like being able to monitor the washer/dryer from her phone to know how much time is left and you can even re-run the dryer or something if it ends before you get home and you want to de-wrinkle.

2.5 millimeter thick TV? Crazy. The rollup display is also cool. Not sure why anybody would want to watch TV on their fridge though.

my wife says it's nice to have a tv since our kitchen is closed off from the iiving room. we don't have the one in the fridge yet, but i think that'd be the reason people would buy it.

Not sure why anybody would want to watch TV on their fridge though.

You can't imagine the multi-tasking opportunities?  I could stand there with the fridge door open, watching the game, while eating leftover chicken legs and drinking milk from the carton.  Open your imagination a little, McKigney!
