this whole thing is such bullshit.  If these clowns were serious about making a statement they wouldn't go hole up at some stupid bird watching center in the middle of nowhere.  they're loudmouth cowards masquerading as patriots while they hide behind their guns.  No one is being oppressed, no ones rights are being trampled.  If they want to graze their stupid cows, ****ing pay for it morons.  As I understand it they already get a massive discount.  The guys that need to serve 3 more years in jail were convicted by a jury.  Thats how the system works.  In addition some of these morons have decided that they are going to refuse to pay their taxes.  Why ?  What boils down to is these guys have decided that they are all in on the bullshit fringe right wing mythology of libertarian freedom.  Like all the other uber libertatrian bullshit at the core of it is xenophobic drivel and simple minded selfishness.  The way these guys think wont work in any society.  Its all their way or its "tyranny"  thats what they call "freedom".  What they advocate is chaos and quite literally anarchy.

Do explain my friend ? What is your objection to the 5 year jail sentence ? That is supposedly the first issue here. Law mandates that u get 5 years for arson on federal land. They served 2. What is the problem ? Secondly, are you just completely opposed to federal ownership of land ?? I mean really explain how this makes sense. It makes none to me.

I tried to find BLM land grabbing per year to make sure none of this was going on before the Socialist became POTUS. I did run into a tidbit that said after the Revolutionary War the 13 original colonies land was turned over to the federal govt.  I could be 99% wrong though. 

 

On a different note, the years I lived in Bishop/Mammoth area I tapped a few BLM girls.  They were not the granola hairy ones either but college girls who just got a degree in that shit and moved out of the city and never did it in the woods before. This is 99% correct.

This story is much bigger than two fires.  The second of which the government admits was set to stop another fire from burning up their own land.  The sentence is the sentence.  I do have a problem with using an anti-terrorism law to get that sentence.

 

Now, on to what this is really about.  Did you read the link I posted?   

 

here is what I find funny.  If this were anyone other than ranchers/farmers many of you would care more.  But because you view those folks as dumb hicks/less than you/uncouth it doesn't faze you.

I won't pretend to understand all the nuances of western ranchers vs. the fed discussion, but when you have freeloaders and tax evaders like the Bundy's as your spokesperson it's hard not to look at them with suspicion.

That really is a straw man red and you know it.  The family involved has done everything to distance themselves from what Bundy is doing.  He is not their spokesperson.

Your analogy doesn't work.  The government isn't trying to build a shopping center.  It is trying to preserve what is already there, a wildlife refuge.  I believe nature was there well before any ranchers moved in.

 

The problem with the Hammonds is that they abused their privileges, so they lost them.  It is not the government taking away any land, it is land they already own.
