London? Ireland? Germany? Pffft, big deal.

Im spending my weekend in Porterville and Visalia.

There used to be a great bar on the outskirts of Visalia (V-Town for us cool peeps) called Crazy Delbert's. I say "used to be", but really have no idea if it's still there. I'm banking on the fact that there is no way in hell it could have lasted this long.

The owners definitely went conservative on naming the bar.

I'm currently in London.  Went to the Pink Floyd exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum.  I diverted my travel plans to go, as Floyd is my #1 Band.  It was ok.  WAAAYY too many people trying to get through.  They gave you headphones that played songs and interviews as you walked through and if there wasn't so many people it would've been brilliant.

Ireland tomorrow. Germany Tuesday. TORS, you're missing out.

brilliant?

Bali was fun but expensive. Some really great dive sites there but I can't really dive anymore so when I go back it'll be boat tripping and visiting some of the sites around my family history. My dad's family is Dutch-Indonesian but mostly just Dutch.

If you want to do a more extended southeast Asia dive trip try adding Palawan or Bohol. Philippines is a much cheaper trip and some really nice sites.

Food in New York, GO!

What section will you be in? What time of the year?

Here are a few that have multiple locations that I recommend. I have an office on the Upper West Side, so I am more familiar with places there.

Sarabeth's; http://sarabethsrestaurants.com/

5 Napkin Burger: I know you have burgers in your blood, this place is the best IMHO http://5napkinburger.com/food-drink/

Jackson Hole: Usually gets voted best burger in NYC http://jacksonholeburgers.com/

Black Tap: Newer place.Another craft burger place that everyone loves because of their crazy milkshakes. There is always a line, so get there early. Multiple locations. https://blacktapnyc.com/

Calle Ocho: Probably my favorite NYC restaurant now that Isabella's has closed. Neuvo Latino http://www.calleochonyc.com/

If the weather is nice, my family always enjoys going to Little Italy and eating outdoors. So many places to choose from. Just walk down Mulberry Street and check them out. Little Italy is shrinking as it is surrounded by Chinatown now. Very touristy  http://www.littleitalynyc.com/restaurants.asp

Old Homestead: My favorite of the many Steakhouses. Everyone tries to copy Peter Luger's, but I like the classic steakhouse feel here.  http://www.theoldhomesteadsteakhouse.com/

Stay away from the restaurants around Times Square or Restaurant Row by the Theatre District. Low quality, busy, and way overpriced.

Hope that helps. If you let me know when and where you'll be, I can probably get more for you. Enjoy

I'm going next month for a few days staying near time square. These all sound great.  The one place I liked by Time Square was Johns, a pizza place.

Angel Dog: Check out their Milkshakes. They make you order them right away. They claim it's because they take up to an hour to make. BS: They don't want you filling up on the Burgers and NOT ordering the shake. I took my wife and kids there one day. We got there for opening and didn't have to stand in line. My waitress never charged us because her Ipad jammed up.

Good call. John's of Times Square is a good one. I like their dining room with the mezzanine and the glass dome.

Downtown is Lombardi's, the oldest Pizzeria in America (or so they say) http://www.firstpizza.com/ Good place.
