why would we get murphy and the jesus if we were just gonna get cespedes? doesn't make sense

Tigers weren't selling Tuesday and the Angels needed to do something just incase Detroit never ended up selling. It's not like we gave up anything for those other guys so not a big deal

Blue Jays acquire Mark Lowe.

Lowe’s name doesn’t leap off the page as an exciting target based on his track record, but he’s in the midst of an astounding breakout season. Lowe has a pristine 1.00 ERA with 11.8 K/9, 2.8 BB/9 and a 36.5 percent ground-ball rate in 36 innings for Seattle this season, and his 95 mph average fastball is the best heat he’s shown since 2011.

So Padres trying to work out a 3-team deal with the Cubs and Red Sox. Rumor is Kimbrel & Ross to the Cubs. Not sure of the other pieces (possibly Panda, since the Red Sox are trying to move some "immovable" contracts and the Padres courted him this past offseason).

Its not going to happen, unless at the last second the Tigers decide to accept Tropeano or something like that for Cespedes is my guess.

The Tigers can't give him a QO. Trop wouldn't be a bad addition to their org. Why must they be so selfish hehe

I don't know....the Tigers have no incentive to keep him without a QO.....sometimes the market just never develops for a good player and over develops for others...sometimes the reasons are beyond talent---Tex had Boras as an agent and there was little maket for him as a rental....Tropeano isn't a bad pitcher and he's major league ready...they could plug him in with Daniel Norris and have a good opportunity to see what those guys could do for 2 months...

Can you imagine our 7-8-9 with Kimbrel?

Is this the Lowe that was an absolute disaster for us a few years ago?
