I completely agree I just don't like using our limited resources to get the guy. I LOVE the idea of having the game being over after 6 innings.

I don't know why the Mets are pushing so hard to get that one impact bat. They literally have two hitters who are above average and whoever they get won't improve their odds much. They need to use some of that pitching depth to overhaul the lineup during the offseason. 

Overhauling the lineup during the offseason does nothing for 2015. They're in "win now and for the next few years" mode.

Do any of you guys realize that all of the trades the Angels made did not come from Stoneman? That if they do or don't make a trade within the deadline it still won't be coming from Stoneman? He is only there to sign the paperwork that Klentak and Servais provide him. The three recent trades have advanced statistics written all over them, not of which Stoneman is very familiar with.

Yup. My angels are 62-49 in mlb the show right now. I traded away CJ Wilson.

Stoneman and MS are still going to have to give their blessing on these trades.  

 

I think the philosophy going into the deadline was to be very conservative.  They weren't going to put any monster moves on someone's shoulders with just an interim GM.  

 

We've been done since the ink dried on the three amigos.

I think we could still use a bat and a RP even if we had swept Houston...but, I'd only pull the trigger if the deal is reasonable...overpaying is an overreaction....stealing a good player if his market has dropped is smart....

The cost this year seemed to be much higher. We have a couple of really good arms, and then nothing after that.
