Back from the game.

 

As soon as Farquhar went in to pitch, I knew it was game over. Sure enough Cron blasts one of his meatballs over the fence for a two run blast on the first pitch. Seriously, if Loyd McClendon is dumb enough to pitch him again, consider it to be batting practice and take full advantage of it.

 

Did you see in the first inning when Santiago got into trouble, Butcher went out there to calm him down? He managed to get his act together and pitched well for six more innings. Where was this Thursday night, when Richards was giving up hits right and  left, yet Butcher and Sosh sat on their ass? See what pro-active managing can do?

 

As impressive as Trout's and Cron's bombs were, Trumbo's blast in the ninth was really a moon shot. He hit it all the way to the back end of the Pen in dead center. It is estimated to have flown 482ft. Nah, we did not need him when he was on the trade market.

 

The Seattle press was hyping Mike Montgomery on  his first three impressive starts. Still they failed to mention that two of his first three wins came  against the Padres and the A's. When Trouty hit his first bomb, I knew it was time to get a little more perspective.

 

Pestano really sucks. Could he have  just let me end the ninth with little  drama?
