Angels had a nice rhythm in the middle innings when they were giving up one run per inning but just couldn't maintain it.

Blanton needs to change the setting on his pitch gun from "suck" to "acceptable."

Forget metrics and other stats for now. Anyone who has seen Blanton pitch in his career would know he is a pile. Guys whose fastball is 86-89 with no movement are going to get pounded as he has shown throughout his career. To offer this guy a 2 yr. deal that early in free agency was a horrific mistake. He could have been had on a Minor League deal two weeks later.

The sad part is until Weave returns there is no replacement in the minors. Also, by that time Hanson should be on the DL.
