If you've been watching mlb network, youb know what im talking about with kevin millar and the rest of the crew saying bumgarner is the best pitcher in baseball. More so than kershaw. Dont get me wrong, I love bumgarner, and hes in my top 5. If I had to go to a starter to pitch in a big game, i'd go with him cause of his confidence but best pitcher in baseball ? Kershaw, Felix, Cueto?? Id even throw Wainwright in there and maybe a healthy Fernandez.

So in 20 years are we going to have the Wilt Chamberlain/Bill Russell arguments about Clayton Kershaw and Madison Bumgarner?

Bumgarner has put together some epic regular seasons too. Hell, he's out dueled Kershaw a number of times head to head. He's only getting better too. Obviously, Kershaw is clearly the top pitcher in the game right now. Bumgarner isn't far off though. It'll be fun to watch these two carve up lineups for years to come.

the giants have done a lot of things right, thats pretty much what we can take away from all this.

they have spent a lot of money, but the money was wisely spent on guys they developed and who earned that paycheck.

the league will start following this model now.

Guys just like Barry Zito and Aaron Rowand :)

Bumgarner was a pitcher that I always tried to watch this year every chance I could.  He is very fun to watch.  The dude rakes at the plate too.

He seems like a guy to me that if he wanted to play football, he would be about 45 pounds heavier and causing havoc on some d-line in the NFL somewhere.  He is an animal.
