Scioscia for some reason doesn't have his teams ready to play. It's not a personnel issue because it happens every year. They have super slow starts to seasons. Slow starts after all star break. And horrible starts to postseasons. The Angels teams need time to get going from delays and time off and a bulk of their wins come during those stretches. You don't have that luxury in the postseason. You have to be firing on all cylinders at the beginning and more times than not, since 2004, Scioscia teams come up way flat.
