Reason number eleventy million why ERA is misleading.   Shoe has started 6 games on the road before tonight -- in 4 of them he allowed 2 or fewer runs (23.2 IP).  In 1 he allowed 3 runs over 5.1 innings.  That's a 3.41 ERA in those 5 starts...  Then there was the KC game where he got banged for 8 runs in 4 innings.

   

He had some shoddy relief appearances on the road, but he's been pretty steady as a SP.
