Folks need to relax. It's not on Scioscia at all. Weaver sucked and the offense quit during the later innings and failed executing anything.

They're like 20 games over .500. I'm sure there are a few. They'll be OK.

Obviously the focus of the game is the offense failing to capitalize later in the game and the fact that Weaver was pitching BP, but at a certain point there's a question to be asked of how much sense it REALLY makes to save your closer for a save situation that may never come.

Is this not still a vent thread? I don't see why people are being blasted for being emotional in these game day threads. Seems to be happening a lot lately which kind of sucks; maybe going back to separate vent and game day threads is the answer?

I'm more upset that the Astros blew a 3 run lead in the 9th and allowed 4 runs with 2 outs to Oakland. This loss wouldn't have been a big deal if they didn't lose any ground
