To be fair, we have completed 3 trades this season, for Grilli, Thatcher, and Street, so it's not like we haven't done anything.

 

Right. Jerry fixed the bullpen and did it in a spectacular manner. The pitching is fine now, more than fine in fact.

 

It's time for hitters like Pujols and Hamilton to step up and produce. Trout will come out of his slump soon enough.

I'm ok standing pat. With the moves the A's have made their rotation is so far ahead of ours. Not sure Price makes that much of a difference considering we'd probably have to give up Calhoun. Personally I'd hang on to Calhoun no matter what. At this point you roll with what you got and hope to get hot in Sept/Oct. if that happens we can beat anyone

Word is that the Tigers are going to trade Smyly+ for Price. Trading a great young pitcher for a year of David Price seems like a marginal gain when you have such a crappy bullpen. 

Tigers have a history of signing players to big deals though.
