He was probably trying to pitch Trout in and up, that's been Mike's weak spot.  But Langston made a great point, when you throw three straight off change ups it's like hitting BP.  He should have thrown a fastball off the plate somewhere in that sequence, otherwise there is no speed differential to deal with.

I had just finished putting my kid to bed, came in, looked at gameday on my phone and saw him coming to bat..  Thought about turning on the TV, but figured I'd jinx it (yes, you can thank me for not turning it on and ruing the night.)  Instead, I watched for the blue circle and "in play, run(s)."  Never before was a blue ball so exciting!
