This is interesting. Kind of shows how the way you talk indicates where you're from in the country. I got Long Beach and Glendale and I grew up in Westminster, so it seems pretty accurate.

I took it, and it said my personal dialect is closest to those of the people in Oceanside, Santa Rosa, and Reno.

I lived in Orange county until I was 12 and Southern California until I was 16. Yet my most similar is central Alabama/western Georgia. This is what happens when you move every 3 years for 49 years.

Phoenix, Albuquerque, and Amarillo.  Took it again, slightly different questions, and got Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, and Amarillo.

I was close to that but substitute Stockton for Oceanside.

Lived in Orange County for the first 26 years of my life. Last 8 in the Phoenix area. Curious as to what question got you matched up to Phoenix.

I got Oceanside, Glendale and Santa Rosa the first time. took it another time and it had some different questions and I changed one answer (median to island because I use them interchangeably) and got Irvine, Santa Ana and Anaheim. I grew up in Orange County.

Maybe influenced by the people I've been around. Though, I don't know anyone from these areas.

It's curious to me that a couple of you got Glendale. I wonder what determined that, especially since I've lived here more than 25 years and couldn't tell you a single thing unique about the language here, other than there's a fair amount of Armenian spoken here.

I got Long Beach and Glendale the first time. The second time, I answered "drinking fountain" instead of "water fountain" and "island" instead of "traffic island" and I got Anaheim and Irvine. There was also a couple of different questions the second time I took it.

I got Oklahoma City, Springfield (MO) and Little Rock. I lived in the Oklahoma City area for a number of years, but I was born and raised in northern Florida, more than 1,000 miles away.
