Maybe they've soured on Austin Jackson and we can move Bourjos for Fister.  doubt it. 

 

I think it's a big mistake to trade howie.  I've got renewed interest in Grant Green as a 3bman.  I locking in on trading Aybar so most of my scenarios revolve around teams that need a SS. 

 

Don't mind the idea of Honey Peralta but don't think Arte would be on board anyway. 

 

I would steer clear of Ellisbury.  We have two excellent defensive CFers and even if we trade one, we ain't trading the other. I still think Trout is such a natural in CF he should stay there.  Bourjos could get us a AA SP with upside and a reliever.  Aybar gets us a starter.  Trumbo gets us a starter.  Of course this is assuming we don't sign Tanaka (which seems unlikely anyway).  I'm kinda over Vargas actually.  I'd be ok with him if we got Tanaka or some other #2. 

 

How about Trumbo for Gallardo if we also took on Aramis salary?  Maybe if we also included one of our high upside pitching prospects.  Shit.

Trumbo is a lot more valuable than Gallardo. Gallardo looked cooked this year.

I saw go big or go home. Fister is a right-handed version of Jason Vargas, perhaps slightly better, but not much.

 

Why not go for Scherzer?
