Okay, is Blanton saying what is expected or can he actually bounce back next year?

 

Personally, I think they should release him and try to trade for another pitcher.

He was a terrible signing. Of course he thinks he can come back. That's what athletes should believe. If they don't then they should just retire.

So basically your saying that this deal is worse than the Wells deal? Blanton has guaranteed money for next season. I have no doubt that he'll bounce back ... which direction would be anybody's guess.

 

I think the smart think is to wait until spring training before you DFA him.
