Pirates' losing streak is history

The Pirates won their 81st game last night. They endured 20 straight seasons finishing under .500. There will not be a 21st.

 

I hope to see them beat Atlanta in a playoff series.

I hope they win the WS.  I really hope they don't get the Wild Card.  Would suck to wait 20 years, then to lose the one game and be out.

Its hard not to like the Pirates. Andrew McCutchen is awesome - sort of a slightly lesser version of Mike Trout.

 

Its worth noting that the last time the Pirates were good it was with Barry Bonds in the early 90s.

It's about time!  Go Bucs!

I've followed them since I got my first glove; a Roberto Clemente model, right around the time of "We are Family."  I have a couple Clemente books, and he's one of my baseball heroes.

 

I'm hoping the Bucs can hold-off the Cards, and make a run this season.  But, I really hope my friends at the Dirtbags don't read this thread and decide to try those horrible Pirate hats....  haaaaaah
