Well, Ron won't be manager for the next 19 seasons like Mike was. Pretty short-term situation. He's already several seasons into Social Security. But he looks healthy enough. I'm sure he gets along well with the grandkids, er, players.

So, apparently, per Boob, the coaching staff list is not official, just people they're discussing. 

In any case, Torii feels like a great fit for the staff. I would think he'd be a great asset for the clubhouse and probably coaches the outfield. Would set him up as a potential future manager if he does well. Would give him some coaching experience.

i didn't really care who they hired as manager since i don't think they do much anymore but i like that the people crying about this are the same who slobbed all over maddon's knob.

My immediate thought is that Gary Pettis, my favorite Angel ever, will be on board as an assistant. He's close with Ron Wash, was with him in Texas. 
Pettis is a top 5 defensive centerfielder in history. Legend

Good Hire! It's all about the young infielders. A little bit of Nostalgia (IF the rumored Coaching staff is true (Chili & Torii) allows Hunter some experience with Washington & Hurdle as Mentors for the possible future... 

Pitching Coach.... I stated in another thread hopeful for either Dave Wallace or if offered the chance Mike Maddux. I don't see him leaving a Veteran Staff like the Rangers. But, he would be a great hire as well.

I haven't gone through the entire thread but is there speculation who he may choose as his coaches? Older? Younger? A protege, perhaps, who can take over?
