Now they just have to get a stadium built.  What site are they on now, like 10? 

Even though they got the ok to move.  Building a billion dollar state of the art stadium, by a team that is seen as frugal, is going to be a challenge.  I don't think they are going to get the convention handouts like the Raiders got, or the corporate help like the Knights got.

The A's have at least competed for the post season in the last 10 years, even without having the two best players in baseball on the team. They haven't been plagued by scandal after scandal.

To be honest, I had rather have an expansion team than the A's. Team ownership has been like the Keystone Kops in the way that they have handled this. Even the location that they are insisting on would worsen Strip traffic, and it is too small for the stadium design that has been proposed. I'm pretty certain that they are going to blow this. Even our mayor has said that they need to talk to Oakland.

They originally chose a site west of the Strip off Tropicana where the Wild Wild West casino once sat. That would be far better than a Strip location, which Fisher seems to be obsessed with.
