It might be time to finally cut bait on Barria after this season.  I've generally been ok with him as sort of a "Swiss army knife" kind of guy who can fill different roles, but he has been terrible lately.  He's given up multiple runs in 5 of his last 9 appearances--and in four of those 5 times, it's been three or more runs.

Yep, get rid of him along with Rengifo.

Patrick Sandoval simply cannot believe his big league centerfielder couldn’t catch a very simple fly ball.

And neither can I.

And Adam's can't believe an experienced pitcher like Sandoval can't consistently get hitters out. Yeah, the bungled fly ball was lame; Adam's absolutely should have caught that ball, no question. However, those six runs are on Sandoval. If Sandoval doesn't have the strength of resolve needed to buckle down and just get the next hitter out, maybe he is the overall problem this game -- and most of the other games he pitched in this season.

When the flyball to Adams was in the air you could see Sandoval walking off the mound after the swing with his head down. As if he just wanted to get into the dugout and take a rest. Assuming like everyone that the third out was made. When he came back he just didn't have anything extra or the intensity to even get one more out. And take Adams off the hook. Hardly an encouraging sign.

Wow while the broadcast is talking about what a special moment Adams' first hit was he completely fucks up another play. You can't write that shit.

Oh was that what Carrlyn Bathe was prattling on about?  I've started muting the broadcasts the second they cut to her.
