He'll probably go somewhere where the pitching coaches will fix what was wrong with him. Something the Angels' coaches rarely, if ever, seem to be able to do with pitchers.

And people say what you just said way too often compared to how many times it’s actually happened. Every once in awhile a guy leaves and has some short term success, but not nearly enough for the frequency of these posts. This isn’t a defense of the Angels it’s a defense of what’s actually happened.

Really disagree with DFAing Phillips, but Moniak has earned everything the Angels have given him.

I probably would have optioned Soto but Moniak, if he keeps it up, will rotate with the other 3, keep them fresh….good all around, if he keeps hitting…

Giving Philips 1.2 million was a stupid contract to begin with

I didn’t think it was a great signing but nobody knew Moniak would rake in Spring Training, keep it up at SLC and in the bigs when he was called up….he has changed the equation….let’s hope he can keep it up….

At the time Philips was signed btw, there was very questionable OF depth on this team.  Now you've got Moniak playing well.  Adell doing his thing.  Adams showing that he's on the depth chart and Cabbage hitting 480ft hrs routinely.  Plus, Oliva has actually been good enough to be 5th on the depth chart.
